a brief recap.
// about me
Choosing joy in the face of adversity is a radical form of resistance. It reclaims your personal power and re-centers your focus on hope. Illuminate the possibilities by recognizing that choosing optimism and connection is a courageous refusal to let hardship extinguish your human spirit.
Hello! I'm Tawni Johnson.
I served as the Campus Director of Operations for a charter school in Atlanta, GA, where I worked since 2011. That role allowed me to tap into both my Type A and Type B skills, balancing structure and creativity to solve problems and create memorable experiences and seamless operations for scholars, families, and staff. What kept me at my organization was having the freedom to think outside the box and tackle new challenges with the most amazing and dedicated people.
I pursued an MA/MBA in Design Leadership at Johns Hopkins/MICA to transition into business strategy. While I plan to stay in education, I remain open to new opportunities as I continue my journey.
In my free time, I love to travel and explore different cultures. Having worked at Delta Air Lines, I developed a deep appreciation for discovering hidden gems off the beaten path. Travel, for me, is about the experience - meeting locals, trying new foods, and seeing the world from new perspectives.
I'm also a proud mom to a high schooler who brings me endless joy, and a fur baby, Lilly Grace, a sassy Chihuahua with a big personality, and Handsome Kitty Kitty Francois, my top-flight security! There's nothing better than coming home to this bunch.
I’m looking forward to sharing more of my journey with you!
xoxo

Building for tomorrow starts with thinking outside of the box to tackle today's challenges with tomorrow in mind. As a placemaker, we are the designers, the urban strategist, the connectors, and the developers. I am excited to explore placemaking more to see how my skill set can be best utilized to contribute to social good and social impact.
I would love to hear from you. Leave me a message!
